Keeping It Personal

Seeing our customers face to face truly is a delight. We’ve shared a nip of bourbon and enjoyed a pint of beer with several. How are the grandkids, children, and of course the four-legged friends? Personal delivery is, therefore, an integral part of who we are at CVM. Last Tuesday Heather had an awesome whirlwind tour of our Land of Enchantment, delivering both yak and beef to new and established customers. Her deliveries took her to Abiquiu, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and all the way to Bosque, south of Belen, where she met up with Chris and Yana at Bom Vida Farm. If you have not heard of Bom Vida Farm, let me tell you, they’re amazing! Chris and Yana sell local farm groceries at their store in Belen and through subscription boxes. If you’re a coffee fiend, I recommend trying their pour-over.

Farmers Markets are another terrific way for us to personally connect with our customers, and we are branching out into more markets throughout the region. On Thursday, with snow blanketing the roadways, Heather headed to the Los Alamos Farmers Market, where she met up with customers to deliver their online preorders while also selling meats to on-the-spot patrons. Unfortunately, the weather continued to remain like a temperamental teen. Several customers even joked that Heather should head back north and take the cold and snow with her. Let me just say, I know Heather is the Freezer Boss at CVM, but not even she can outmaneuver Mother Nature’s wily ways. Heather’s warm personality, however, won the day, with the sun and blue skies coming out as she waved good bye to our friends at the market.
